SkinnyNerd (#224,784)

@riotnrrd Sarcasm always winds up on a dead end on the internet.

riotnrrd (#840)

@SkinnyNerd Oh no, I got it. I was just agreeing. Sarcazm 4 eva.

nonvolleyball (#9,329)

@Emily Morris @Emily Morris I really enjoy the conviction that underlies a statement like "Emotions have colours."

Emily Morris (#14,069)

@nonvolleyball She's synesthetic, she just wants to appeal to ALL of her fans

Bittersweet (#765)

@Emily Morris At first glance I thought you said "synthetic," which, yes.

bluebears (#5,902)

19. Spinning like a girl in a brand-new dress.

Well of course.

werewolfbarmitzvah (#16,402)

Style-wise, though, she is KILLIN' IT these days! I can't listen to her songs without some degree of suffering, but lordy does she look flawless with the bangs and the red lipstick.

hockeymom (#143)

Her album is on constant, non-stop rotation in the household.
Day and night, all I hear is "Trouble, trouble, trouble."

Losing my damn mind.

Kevin Knox (#4,475)

@hockeymom I feel like this comment should have been written on the torn off top flap of a Trix carton. In broken orange crayon.

hockeymom (#143)

@Kevin Knox I'm Noriega and the 12 yr old is PsyOps.

practical cat (#238,881)

@hockeymom "Oh oh trouble trouble trouble / oh oh trouble trouble trouble" is the most brilliant of poetry. It's pretty much a heroic couplet, amiright?

mayonegg (#76,907)

I am wondering how I have not found Julie Beck in the limited sea of Chicago Taylor Swift aficionados.

Brad Nelson (#2,115)

incomprehensible? some of these are even cliches!

Edith Zimmerman (#5,210)

It's exHAUSTing how much I <3 TS.

lolijayne (#238,005)

Taylor Swift didn't write Untouchable.

City_Dater (#2,500)

Good lord. she's the Jewel of her generation.

practical cat (#238,881)

Some of these make the most perfect sense. But yeah, I'll give you pretty much all of the ones from her first album. Like, who is going around leaving out pennies in the rain? HOW are eyes like a jungle? (Are they green or something? Wild?)

all the bacon (#238,882)

Call me when you need someone to write one of these on R. Kelly. Seriously, do it.

Maxie@twitter (#238,886)

@all the bacon can you write that and just email that to me? because that sounds fucking fantastic.

Poubelle (#214,283)

I need you like a heartbeat.
I dunno, I need my heartbeat pretty bad to, like, pump blood and keep me alive and stuff.

I am here to enlighten you all, haha.
23. You, with your voice like nails on a chalkboard.
-The person's voice makes Taylor cringe. It's a sound that no one likes listening to.
22. The moon like a spotlight on the lake.
The moon is shining brightly and creates a spotlight?
21. Today was a fairytale.
Today was a magical day and was perfect like a fairytale.
20. I need you like a heartbeat.
You need a heartbeat to live, she needs him like she needs a heartbeat, therefore she feels like she needs him to live.
19. Spinning like a girl in a brand-new dress.
..happily spinning around like a girl who just tried on a brand new dress.
18. You're just another picture to burn.
You're just another bad memory, in a way. Unless she has this thing where she burns pictures.
17. You call me up again just to break me like a promise.
He calls her again and breaks her/her heart just like promises are broken.
16. Untouchable, like a distant diamond sky.
Diamonds=stars. He's out of reach/untouchable just like the sky.
15. Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place.
The autumn leaves are gently falling down to where they belong, like puzzle pieces into a jigsaw puzzle.
14. I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here.
She's been damaged like how you can't smooth out the wrinkles of a crumpled paper and left behind.
13. He leaves you out like a penny in the rain.
You have to read the lines before it. "'Cause you're giving it away like it's extra change / Hoping it will end up in his pocket / But he leaves you out like a penny in the rain." The person is giving something away (love?) like it's nothing and extra weight and hoping somehow the person will reach the guy. Metaphorically speaking, the person in the song is giving out pennies hoping one will eventually land in his pocket but he just leaves the penny out and alone in the rain.
12. I'm shining like fireworks over your sad empty town.
She's the only bright thing in his sad, lonely life?
11. Loving him was red.
To Taylor, red is the color she sees when she thinks of intense emotions like passion, love, anger.. etc. Basically, loving him was intense and full of different emotions and poetically speaking.. red.
10. You held your head like a hero on a history book page.
Your head was head up high and proud like a hero's picture on a history book page in a textbook?
9. Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there's no right answer.
Fighting with him was no use with no right answer and multiple wrong answers. Like a crossword puzzle that couldn't be solved.
8. We were dancing like we're made of starlight.
They were dancing like they're made of something magical, they were glowing, they were happy.. etc.
7. You come around and the armor falls, pierce the room like a cannonball.
The person comes and automatically her guard is let down. He impacts the room greatly like a cannonball would.
6. You were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter.
You have to know what a scarlet letter is. Here, by scarlet letter, it means she was forbidden. He was her prince/knight in shining armor/Romeo but her father forbid them be together.
5. His love is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street.
There's a rush and even though you know it won't go anywhere, the ride is intense/dangerous and the best part.
4. He's the song, in the car, I keep singing, don't know why I do.
He's like a song on the radio you don't exactly love but you keep singing anyway. You like him but you don't know exactly why you do.
3. The way you move is like a full on rainstorm, and I'm a house of cards.
He moves quickly, furiously and suddenly like a full on rainstorm and all she is, is a small house of cards that can be blown down with the slightest wind.
2. Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met.
It's impossible. She's comparing how difficult it is to forget it with like trying to know someone that you've never even met before. You just, can't do it.
1. Cory's eyes are like a jungle, he smiles, it's like the radio.
Honestly, I'm not even sure. Cory's eyes are green and wild. She can listen to the radio for a long time and when he smiles, it's like listening to the radio, she can just watch him for a long time?
