Please to stop making me hungry.
Nothing like some poop talk to make me hungry.
I'm guessing this is one of those non-observant things?
Once I got over the whole 'omg people eat their placentas/now I'm going to hurl' thing, this was great. Can we get the pork bun recipe? Pretty please with afterbirth on top?
I'd feel a little dirty putting it online, since we followed the Momofuku cookbook's recipe to the letter. This is definitely a cookbook worth buying if you enjoy making or eating or looking at food at all ...
GOOD NEWS!

Nah, this one isn't as good.
It's also HARDER. Buy the cookbook! Stop trying to get everything for free from the Internet!
This cookbook is good readin'!
Right? The comment there that "You'd need a whole backroom full of prep cooks to make this!" IS SO ACCURATE.
Thanks, Emily, I will get the cookbook.
Getting things free is what the internet was invented for!

"directed by"?
Oh gosh yes. Nonfiction film and TV also employ "directors"! Their duties are somewhat different from the duties of fiction directors obviously (for instance, in nonfiction, one doesn't give line readings, nor does one tell people what to do) and yet nevertheless, they have a job to do too, one that is at least as important as craft services.
Mean-spirited comment withdrawn.
Nic she's the one who pulled the shade down and put up that black out screen.
I did, and do, A LOT more than that for these things, but thank you for thinking so highly of my contributions.
Val, those are not a small contributions. This is the first time someone thought to do that on one of these vids.
Actually, not true! The windows were blocked out for both Marisa Meltzer and Julie Powell's vids. It just looks a lot better because we are using fancier equipment. Props to our new crew member Andrew for hooking us up!
Of all the work that Val and Emily put into this episode, I never thought people would be talking about the end credits.
I appreciate that it was a pretty seamless multi-camera shoot. The cut-aways seemed to be perfectly in-sync.
I've said it a million times and I'll say it again: Never trust a woman with color tattoos.
Wait, are we talking about Michelle McGee now?
Related: Never trust a man that buttons his shirt all the way to the top but doesn't wear a tie (see: douchebag).
I spent a couple days making these and after various degrees of binging on pork buns, I can tell you the perfect number for one sitting is 3, 4 if you're making a meal of it. Of course, at the restaurant they only sell two at a time, which is an evil way to get another $9 out of your wallet.
My kind of servicey!
This episode makes an excellent late night snack.
mmm sriracha. I like your style
I just learned something that I really want to unlearn. Help me vodka!
Abort.
