7. True Stories
6. More Songs About Buildings And Food
5. Talking Heads: 77
4. Fear Of Music
3. Little Creatures
2. Speaking In Tongues
1. Remain In Light
I've put up with a lot of heresy from this place over the years (and I mean A LOT) but More Songs About Buildings and Food at number 6? C'mon son. It can't be out of the top 3. Sorry, it just can't.
@French Linton@twitter I checked that album out of the library so many times. Oh, it's top 3, it has to be.
Their first two are the First Two, pick your order. No, not hard to argue, not just a tiny bit hard.
List sucks because Fear of Music had "Cities", which is like the Balk guide to life.
I will support this as long as we all agree that The Overload is #1 in the history of #1s
I think of the ones I consider my favorites and LOSE MY SHIT OVER RANKING 77 #5.
@Krugmanic Depressive Agreed. I listened to only that for an entire summer. "First Week" plays in my head in most office settings.
@Krugmanic Depressive I smell the pine trees and the peaches in the woods!
This is cashews all over again.
0.) Stop Making Sense
If you really want a fight, you need to rank all of the individual tracks. And then OH MY GOD the rival recordings; just the competing versions of "Psycho Killer" would keep us arguing for days.
surprised but happy to report that this is actually completely correct
Oy vey. Two magnificent live albums, one of which changed everything. Would an Allman Brothers list exclude Fillmore East? Would a James Brown list leave off Live at the Apollo? Would a Frampton…oh never mind.
Trick question. There are 2 #1s and the other is secretly the cassette version of Stop Making Sense because it has the extended versions of everything.
Close! Little Creatures is too high, and Buildings and Food is too low. Swap those two and it's perfect.
