Wouldn't You Be Like, Fine, Knight Foundation, Here Is Your $20,000 Back?
Don't you think it's super-awkward when someone pays you a lot of money and then publicly admits that they regret doing so? Anyway, do you think Jonah Lehrer will pay the Knight Foundation back that $20,000 they just gave him to explain why he was fudging things in his work? (But then, the Knight Foundation does a lot of pretty unfortunate money-spending, to be honest!) Still! Tell us all about it in the comments… over at the Knight Foundation's blog.

If they are willing to give a priceless talking super-car to an ex-cop with traumatic head injuries then why would they regret giving 20k to an opportunistic hack?
@My Number Is My Address COMMENT OF THE DECADE, NOT ENOUGH UP-THUMBS IN THE UNIVERSE
I'm guessing he already blew the $20k on designer hoodies, gray jackets, button-up shirts, and v-necks
My Twitter feed — mostly science writers — is still in a frenzy over: 1) Lehrer's discovery of the simplest journalism rules; 2) the $20,000 paid him by a foundation that supports journalism; 3) the comparison of the $20,000 with the annual income of most freelance science writers.
As a journalist who doesn't make things up, sometimes it can feel like the joke is on me.
