You know that the Q is going to be the penultimate train up and running, right? (I'm guessing the G will be last).

@happymisanthrope wait, what? why is this?

@happymisanthrope The G being the last train back up and running is like that old vaudeville joke about “will I be able to play the piano after the cast comes off my hand? Because I couldn't before!”

I can't wait to see the transit museum's exhibit on Sandy. If they have one. They will probably have one.

I've come around on the G, and now love it. It's like a three legged dog. It may not win any races, but it's got pluck, god dammit.

The G would have saved me a whole week of hell, I don't quite understand why it is cut other than it is the Staten Island of lines. Ugh, it would have got BK to Queens and in turn could have stopped at queens plaza (as it always used to!) into Manhattan.

@FuriousNewYork At this point I'd settle for the G shuttle buses they run on the weekends

Multiphasic (#411)

@jbsquare Don't say that. Never say that.

(If there's one thing that's consistently forsaken me, it's G-bus.)

jbsquare (#793)

@Multiphasic yeah, they always look packed and miserable on weekends

and it isn't running because the tunnel got flooded by newton creek. And given that it doesn't run into Manhattan I'm betting it will be the last one revived.

@jbsquare again, the G is the Staten Island of the system. And the only fucking one that I need. Kanye says Bloomberg hates G riders!

Multiphasic (#411)

@jbsquare Well they can always do the traditional 4 a.m. thing where they just dump everyone coming up from the Slope at Bedford/Nostrand, to either be robbed or eat at Do or Dine (same thing).

Multiphasic (#411)

Also, have fun hoofing from your cushy Midtown job to Al di La without an R train, sucker. You'll get crushed beneath an all-terrain doublewide stroller before you even get past Union Hall.

@happymisanthrope wait, what? why is this?

You forgot the V. More importantly: This is a 25-item listicle and you forgot the V train, the most recently eliminated line. A-M-A-T-E-U-R.
