Apparently No One Gave That Dude from Blackwater the "Postcolonialism Talk"

"People come to Africa to help [Africans] to build up the capabilities there and to show them both know-how and capital. Our job is to put all these things together and make them good investment opportunities."
Blackwater 2.0, also founded by former Navy SEAL Erik Prince, is called Frontier Resource Group, and it lets/helps Chinese companies "invest" "in" "Africa." It's basically like Kickstarter, but even more evil, and with actual money.

He isn't even a Bond villain, he's a villain from a Nicholas Cage movie.

This is why the US invaded Libya and created Africom. China and the West are in a scramble for Africa's massive resources. The good news is that Africa is positioned for strong economic growth over the next twenty years.

@Lockheed Ventura The bad news is, all that capital is gonna be shipped out to China.

@deepomega But consumer electronic price deflation is like getting a raise so everybody wins.

@Lockheed Ventura – When exactly did we invade Libya?

And China won't bother with even the transparent demands for democracy, accountability or rule of law from the governments with which it engages that the US and Europe make. Everyone wins!

Look, European colonialism in Africa was such a success that they've just decided to give it another go! At least, I think that's what I read in a Newsweek article by Niall Ferguson recently…

I guess Heart of Darkness Venture Capital was already taken.
