Women: Always Getting Lost In Parking Lots

"Men and women use different spatial memory techniques to find their cars in crowded parking lots, says a study published in Applied Cognitive Psychology. The research showed women relied more on visible landmarks and took substantial detours, while men were better at estimating distances and more likely to take a direct route to the vehicle."

I don't know about the rest of the lady folk, but this is not an inaccurate personal description. It's frustrating, humiliating and maddening. Especially since I can read a map everywhere else. Just can't ever find the damn car to get there.

@hockeymom: After you've parked your car and walked over to the store entrance or parking garage elevator/stairs/exit, turn around and look back at where you left your car. When you come out, you'll know where the car is relative to that point. It's like taking a little brain snapshot.

Yes, but who hits the alarm button on the remote first?

I spray my windshield with Chanel® and sniff my way back.
