"I think the following 15 rape jokes are hilarious"
Well, Kate Harding went and made a list of rape jokes that she considers to be actually funny. (At least one of them did indeed make me laugh!) TRIGGER WARNER: Dane Cook is on the list. (Double trigger warning: "racist v. rapist" in this one. Complicated.)

The scariest part of this clip is the audience. The laughs seems really rapey.

@NinetyNine I think his point was that he thinks it'd be funny if people were raped. Different!
@NinetyNine Mary Elizabeth Williams is totally (annoyingly) trolling the heckler over on Salon. Not just this heckler, but all hecklers.

It's almost like… you can joke about rape without the butt of the joke being a woman who is then raped? HUH. Also, for the skeptics, the Dane Cook one is probably the most explicitly "nice" joke on the list.
(And I'd say the Louis CK one doesn't land, because it just doubles down on the victim format of the joke by making the victim Hitler. BORING.)

I think any topic of comedy can be funny as long as it's done well. I don't think Tosh does it so well all the time. I don't think heckling is cool nor do I think threatening someone with rape as punishment is cool. But mostly I just want to come here to say I love Kate Harding and Ever Mainard. Chi-town represent.
Can't watch this right now, but I sure hope 'Imagine Daffy Duck raping Elmer Fudd' is in there.
You know what's really never funny? Airline food jokes. Amirite?
This clip… is not supposed to be racist? Is the joke that she's protesting about not being racist while doing an impression of a Black woman? Am I reading too much into it? I've certainly heard my quota of rape jokes for life this week, jesus.
