How Many Booker Prize Nominees Have You Read?
I'm batting a full "zero out of twelve" on the Booker Prize longlist! I'm basically illiterate.

I was given the impression based on the post title that this was based on the full list of nominees, previous years combined. I was ready to come into this post swinging (I've read like three, tops, based on my criteria).
Yeah, most of these I haven't even heard of — and the ones I have didn't sound all that appealing. Now, if you put up the long list for the Hugo or the Nebula, then we'd have something to talk about.
Oh, so you're a judge then? I recently read a handful of Booker winners and shortlisters and not only was I not impressed I was downright disgusted. People are nuts. Anybody know of any bartending jobs in St. Croix?
I pretty much gave up on the Bookers after the DBC Pierre thing. Now I base my queue of novels on what has and hasn't been reviewed by James Wood.
Wait Nicola Barker has a new book?!? I loved Darkmans.
Choire, I wish you were on Goodreads and/or gave us more reading suggestions. I'm currently finishing my first Neal Stephenson, Reamde.
@tiemposbuenos : Snow Crash and Anathem are both pretty good too. Also, I second the "additional reading suggestions from the editors" proposal.
@collier Noted. Adding those to my reading list.
I want Thomas Cromwell to be my new boyfriend, based on Bringing up the Bodies.
I know the Will Self hasn't even come out yet so I think you can count that one if you'd like.
