Etta James, one of the greatest singers of all time, has passed away from complications from leukemia at the age of 73. She is justifiably best known for "At Last," a song any performer would make a deal with the devil to have in her repertoire, but her talents ranged from blues to gospel to R&B to standards to really anything she was interested in performing. Some favorites follow.

"One Night" or GTFO
Honest truth time: I had no idea who she was until I heard "At Last" in a car commercial 15 years ago. I ordered a CD and have become obsessed and now I am trying to collect all her records on vinyl. I hate that I wasted a good portion of my life not knowing she existed.
It's truly a loss. And "Seven Day Fool" should be added to this list.
the best: http://youtu.be/ba7O12J-zcw - "I'd Rather Go Blind", live, with Eddie Vinson. So, so good.
