Robyn Still Awesome
Swedish pop star Robyn appeared on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, to remind us that we should not forget that her "Dancing On My Own" is one of the, say, five best songs made by anyone in the past five years. She wore some crazy gear, sort of like that S&M-looking harness thing Tupac rocked in the New York Times Magazine in 1996, and danced just as well as you ever have alone in front of your bedroom mirror, and helpfully put the Twitter icon on her twin drum kits, as an extra little hint to spread the word about how awesome she remains. She also played "Call Your Girlfriend," which, yes, remember to do that, too.

Either she was lip synching, or can do a tumble without it affecting her voice whatsoever.
Is that the same Robyn who did "Show Me Love" years ago? I got too many different Robyn's in a google search to tell.
@JoshUng She was singing live, but there were enough backing tracks that if she did have to take a breath you wouldn't really notice.
I was entirely charmed/dazzled by these performances. I had been previously Robyn-neutral.
@JoshUng Same Robyn, Yes
What I love about Robyn is, she dances with a sexuality that comes from herself, that is real and not a show specially put on for men.
@Trilby – Yeah, when she got on her knees and did a pelvis grind while tousling her hair just like Madonna at the MTV Awards, it seems totally natural.
Nope. Still don't get it.
@deepomega I had it and I got sick of it. Seeing her in concert with Kelis *was* a recent life highlight.
Not Impressed
"Dancing On My Own" is one of the, say, five best songs made by anyone named Robyn, from Sweeden, in the past five years.
Hey, what did you do with the "Dave Bry" that went to see Fucked Up and Titus Andronicus last week??
Check his room for pods!
@hman I love Fucked Up and like-ish TA, but Robyn is more hardcore than those bands will ever be.
Dear Dave Bry Pods, Sorry the noise from Fucked Up's show hurt Dave Bry's ears so much that you make him like Robyn now…
Those aren't Twitter icons; it's the logo for her label, Konichiwa Records.
