A new role for Bill Keller will put a woman, Jill Abramson, in the Times #1 slot for the first time. That new role seems to be: full-time writer. Oh… good.
Things are so hard for women in the media, you guys.
(Yes they are! This doesn't prove anything! That's like saying there's no more racism just because Obama is president!)

Meh. Wake me when the Mag gives Howell Raines a sports column called "Flood the Zone."
"In my house growing up, The Times substituted for religion,” she said. “If The Times said it, it was the absolute truth."
So, here's hoping the Times will be edited in her house in 1960.
