The New Yorker's "Dec. 6 issue wasn’t available on the iPad for more than 36 hours, which led several people within the ranks at Conde Nast to speculate that Apple was holding the issue hostage. But why?" Good morning! First Steve Jobs came for the weeklies, but I said nothing, because I was a monthly....

Apple in not actually giving a shit about the creative class shocker. Throw it on the pile along with
- Swapping for Quicktime X, which is a joke for anyone who uses quicktimes daily
- Fucking around with the accessibility of their codecs
- The gamma shift problems with h.264 that are still lingering
- Their unwillingness to interface with adobe to speed up 64 bit CS until CS5
- Their willingness to demand content changes on any magazine submitted to their ipad store
etc. etc. etc.
Really, they only had to wait 36 hours? Must be nice.... I've been a print subscriber for years and have never gotten an issue before Thursday or Friday. Imagine the horror of missing out every week on four days of zeitgeist! Oh, wait... I can read all the significant stories online. Why do I pay for this again?
