Freak Storm Attacks New York (Again), Now With Extra Hail

WTFThis picture, by Reid Epstein of Newsday, is of hail. Tom Keaney agrees! Yup that is icy, icy hail. It appears to be strongest (and hippest) in Brooklyn. Hug your cats, this is the end times!

They like weather generally.

I made a voicenote recording of the hail on my iPhone. 'Cause that's how we do in Brooklyn.

Oh my god, I'm devastated I didn't think of that!!!

(I'll "share" it with you next time I see you. And you can pretend you did! Shhhhh…)

Of the thousands of photographs sure to be taken of the great Brooklyn hailstorm of 2010, this is probably the worst.

My Grandma could've gotten a better shot with her Kodak Instamatic 300.

There's an app for that.

Needs a hysterical soundtrack.

I'd be running around out there with a highball glass.

With all that noise I figured it was raining men.

Does NY typically not have weather? I feel like there is a lot of freaking out going on over there…

Yeah, hail is okay I guess. But it was a lot cooler when it was condensation nuclei back in the cumulonimbus days.

I thought that whole icing trend was over?
