Breaking! Google Is Skynet! Their Robot-Driven Cars Exist! Game Over, Man

:(It does not appear to be April 1 by our pitiful human calendars so we are going to presume that this announcement from the former software company turned robotics and human health and interests services industry (AKA our shadow government) called "Google," in which they reveal that they have been secretly having robots drive cars up and down California, is real and that we're all going to die.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I'd rather not cede dominion over the Earth to robots. On the other… WEEKEND AWL!

I pose this question to you: Is a robot driver worse than, say, the worst fifth of drivers?

I don't know, but I'm looking forward to the day I can drink and my car can drive.

SOLD. Sign me up, robot overlords!

I know, the problem is I'm like… yeah maybe we should just let the cars do the driving. Cuz these people are fucking stupid.

Robots can't text, can they?

How much worse could it be? I mean, I'm pretty sure a robot could be programmed not to drive the wrong way on the freeway which the humans seem to do about once a month here in the Southwest, including recently when we had to take actual evasive maneuvres to avoid the actual car coming actually at us.

On the otter hand, I also thought freeways could be engineered to make it really hard to get on the freeway going the wrong way, but I was wrong about that, wasn't I?

So when does 'Christine' happen?

I would admire the sophistication of you and your fellow future-dwellers a little more if you seemed to be aware the word "human" only functions as that sort of adjective in bad science fiction.
