New York Experiences Weather
Did you get caught out in the rain yesterday? Were you traumatized for life? As Awl pal Rod Townsend remarked in passing the above video along, "The tornado reminds me of why I rooted for the monster in Cloverfield."

Dude.
Bro.
Holy shit.
Bro! Holy shit!
Don't blow me, bro!
Dude, this blows.
Not cool, dude.
I am sad they are still alive today.
Truth
I had the same reaction when a friend passed this along last night:
"Tell me that's Williamsburg. And that they didn't survive."
Apparently a man's response to his first tornado sounds a lot like his response to his first blowjob, except the tornado lasts longer.
OK, THAT just made my day.

HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WOOO-HOOOOOO!
*if one of those things ever hits my neighborhood, we are so fucked because we are basementless, in KS.
How can you not have a basement in Kansas?
DID YOU NOT SEE THE WIZARD OF OZ?
Just build a cellar!
next-door-neighb (same type of MCM house) is so paranoid about it, he has plans to build an above-ground bunker in his backyard.
Ms.Y and I occasionally have dreams of finding a secret basement that we didn't know was there.
We had a tornado warning a few weeks (months? who can remember?) ago, and the local news media here in Boston went completely apeshit about it (not unlike these dudes, except with less swearing and more suits). And then nothing happened. It was kind of disappointing.
Just like Earl.
When the apocalypse comes, is there a special underground bunker for Awl pals? It's important to protect the species.
They shall not know us by the pimping of our hidden Winchester, right?*
*Call me
Their parents are gonna be pissed when they find out what they've done to that apartment.
-snicker-
Oh man. I just remembered that I had a dream that I was in a tornado last night.
It's OK though, guys, I'm fine! Even though we were outside, we laid low in a ditch and it went overhead. Thanks for your concern!
FUNNEL TORNADO ALL THE WAY
"Look at the tree" is the new "what does it mean."
AAGH it's a bronado.
Ha! Although I was haaaalf expecting (hoping) for the tornado to pick up one of the bros and carry him far far away
go stand out on the balcony and take your ICING like a bro, BRO.
That was my view out the window yesterday. I came THIS CLOSE to taking my daughter (the only one home (except, of course, for me)) down to the basement. But then I thought, fuck, that's just too melodramatic.
Funneling?
Only the bros know.
HATE FACEBOOK LOGIN GAH.
One would think native Midwesterners should be used to this sort of thing.
Wasn't a tornado. If it was, our bro friends would be dead.
microburst, I'll bet.
are bros still icing one another? like, is that still a thing?
I saw Cloverfield for the first time the other night, glad I'm not the only one who had that feeling.
Can't wait for these bros to meet the double rainbow dude so that they can get their own weather related television series.
That was an interesting blog post. I have read a few similar post about how open source has helped an IT career.
