'Christmas With A Capital C': Sadly, The 'C' Is Not The 'C' We Usually Use

Coming soon: Bullshit Resentments Fomented To Somehow Convince The Practitioners Of America's Most Widely-Followed Faith That They Are Under Siege: The Movie. You had me at, "Just because God's out of vogue in the big city doesn't mean we throw him away like last summer's fashion magazine."

I guess the Trapper Falls Mosque is out of the question?

KarenUhOh (#19)

The Carpenter did it.

Man, Daniel Baldwin doesn't even get mentioned as being a member of the cast at the end of the trailer? But Brad Stein — you know, world famous conservative stand-up comic Brad Stein — does? They never would've done Stephen like that.

I wonder how Alec Baldwin feels about this.

If you really want to shove religion down someone's throat, maybe the first step is to go "Catholic" on these heretical christians; call brother Tomas, see if he still knows how to start a fire without matches.

Ah, Inquisition 2.0.

Dibs on the non-denominational mega-churchies types!!

It's about damn time. The atheists of this country have had too much power for too long.

I know this is a very minor point, but most heathens I know don't throw away their fashion magazines, they save them. Just sayin'.

I have a bunch of Italian Vogues from the 90s I need to toss.

Wow. Its like "Mystery, Alaska", only less believable.

Anyone willing to wager if Kelsey Grammer makes a cameo as a lawyer, judge, or Santa Claus?

Hey, I thought the Super Bowl was the world's largest shared experience. But I don't watch football nor do I celebrate Christmas, so what do I know?

Mackle (#446)

Christmas without a Capital C.

Chanukah without a Capital C.

Some religions are able to adapt better under adverse conditions.

This is not real, right? Right?

Another thing they have in the "big city": Jews.

The big city is a truly evil place.

Boy, the war on Xmas starts earlier every year. And while I used to use "Xmas" (the "X" is an abbreviation for "Christ"!) just to save time, now I'm going to do it specifically to piss these morons off.

Derek Bly (#7,508)

OK. How about a movie showing how Christians took a holiday celebrated by earlier faiths and corrupted it by linking it to their own beliefs. Oh, but they kept such pagan traditions as yule logs, mistletoe and decorated trees.

Or maybe a movie about how those who are actually knowledgeable in real U.S. history work to defend the concept of separation of church and state?

katiechasm (#163)

Stop making sense.

I could understand this if there were, say, lawsuits to enjoin Christmas displays in public settings or to remove commemorative crosses from public lands in the desert, and such, but ….

Oh. What? Really?
