JetBlue Flight Attendant Drama: The Director's Cut
The folks at Taiwan's Apple Action News-who clearly know what floats the Internets' boats-have brought their CGI expertise to the Steven Slater story, expanding on their earlier version to include the latest details of the JetBlue flight attendant's epic departure. There's some suggestive boyfriend action in this one! Anyway, I was thinking about this last night: As much as I love this story-because how could you not, it has everything-is the huge amount of attention we're paying to it, in some strange act of the collective unconscious, summoning up the next terror attack? I mean, is this going to be 2010's Summer of the Shark Attack? Ah, you know what? Probably not. Let's all just sit back and enjoy.

Charged with mischief, it says.
This exposes the terrorism angle to this story. His mother is a pirate.
the apostophe placement on "floats the Internets' boats" both delights and confuses me.
Be glad it wasn't "float's".
boat's?
I was hoping for a Busby Berkeley-esque splashy song and dance number featuring those darlings of modern aviation Sully and Slater and a large quantity of maribou feathers.
What's up with that amphetamine commercial at the end?
I was thinking the same thing..
I wish someone would issue a press release addressing the 20 v. 28 years discrepancy; NYT reported 20, which makes sense, but the Today Show repeated 28 this morning, and I would hate for the folks at Apple Action News to be spreading disinformation. Their accurate reportage is what sets them apart!
But did he take one–or two–beers? It appears to be a Heineken, though, so they probably figured in the upcharge.
@garge Either way the Botox seems to have worked.
I was disappointed by it being half actual footage, but pleased with the "Gay Love And Forbidden Romance Happy Fun Time Hour!" ad right after.
I realize this post is almost 11 hours old (and therefore ancient history, if not already forgotten), but a minor point – Apple Daily News, the producers of these CGI clips, is actually a Hong Kong, not Taiwanese, media company.

They do, however, also publish in Taiwan.
