Gotta say, using the same adjective ("legendary") for Schorr and the chupacabra in back-to-back posts is a tad jarring.

A good long interesting life...
I will miss him on NPR -- he was sharp and frequently hilarious.

I will deeply miss his pithy, denture-imposed sibilance.

I'll miss him every Saturday morning...what a life.

Certainly, Dan Schorr was from the old school, but unlike a lot of Great Men Of Their Day, he never let the changing world make him into a relic. A hell of a reporter, right up to the end. I'll miss hearing him.

An essential piece of the Watergate puzzle. Incredible reporter; deft and devastating communicator.
