Oh fine people of Brooklyn, won't you help find 'Dennis'? Last seen crossing Atlantic Ave. by Court Street!
He's quick! Think I just saw him in Pittsburgh!
Is coloration different from coloring? Or color? Does it mean that he or she had been colored green by an outside source?
Too late. The Raccoons in Central Park got him.
You bring up a sensitive subject here.
Dude, I caught a family of four of them attempting to make the rounds of my backyard at dusk. Let me tell you of my sensitivities.
Dennis needs his medication and may be disoriented.
Oh, your little heroes in a half shell! I apologize from the depths of my soul, but every so often I am reminded of that story (seeing little animal feet prints, for example) and I laugh so hard I weep.
Sigh. "Art project." Shut up, Brooklyn.
Mmm squab.
Everyone knows that pigeons inherently cannot get lost, unless incapacitated.
Maybe someone should call and ask if Dennis has any known medical problems. If he doesn't, this could be a hoax.
Unless he's the transmigration of Dennis Hopper, in which case he was just tired of all this pigeon shit, and hit the road.
I saw a pigeon in that vicinity but it was more like 14 ounces so I'll have to call that number and advise that no, I have not seen Dennis.
This is making me want to come up with good book names.
Where's My Lost Pigeon by Shi-Tee Luck
(The best one ever is In the Tiger's Cage by Claude Bawls, but not apropos here.)
Under The Bleachers by Seymour Butts
"Fifty Yards to the Outhouse" by Willy Makeit, illustrated by Betty Wont
I bet he also responds to "Old Woman!"
Now I want to find Dennis so I can rename him Walter Pidgeon.
Check the grill of the bus that was crossing Atlantic Ave by Court St around 5pm on 6/28/10.
If that's a cellphone number, would be fun if everyone started taking pictures of random pictures and sending with the message, "Is this him?"
This is just making me want to watch "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai," 'cause there are some nice pigeon scenes.
Dennis was approximately 12 ounces of orange-footed LOVE.
