Massive Stock Sell-off (Part 37 In A Series)
Stocks are plummeting! The Dow has dropped below 10,000! But why? Today we're going with "fears of a global economic slowdown" and "tensions ris[ing] on the Korean peninsula." I bet the oil slick is happy to finally not be blamed for something. Although looking at these pictures is a lot more upsetting than worrying about imaginary numbers falling under some arbitrary threshold. Anyway, if you've got anything left under your mattress, keep an eye on it.

-Gust of Wind / Top Hat blows off Head-
Yesterday, in Chicago, the Rev. Jesse Jackson appeared outside a BP station, urging a boycott of the conglomerate. He gave a speech decrying the nation's dependence on oil, and advocated sweeping reforms to promote mass transit.
He arrived for the rally in an Escalade.
Classic. And I will say it again: the US uses about 19.5 million barrels of oil A DAY, most of which goes for transportation. So, yes, I'm all for more mass transit, but that's a lot of new straphangers before you're significantly less dependent on oil.
The only thing left under my mattress are those dead hookers. And anybody here is welcome to 'em. That includes Miles, even.
I do not believe in Hell, for I see no need of it.
It's always nice to have the opportunity to use the word "plummet".
Seconded. Especially outside of the "dangling a hooker off the side of a building" context.
No worry, probably just the ole "m" "b" switcheroo again.
