'NY Post' Harbors a Foul Cesspool of Sick Un-American Wackjobs

REALLY?Col Allan and his friends at the New York Post despise America and also human life, as evidenced by the comments on this story about the mysterious death of a New Yorker, who was class of '05 at NYU. Why Rupert Murdoch would want to host this kind of vulgarity on the Internet, which could easily be prevented with about $38,000 a year in the form of a comments moderator staff position, is pretty unfathomable, particularly when the paper considers itself a moral crusader. I mean, even the Gawker comments are sort of respectful and empathetic! What a world.

You're assuming that a New York Post Comments moderator would keep these types of comments out.

If all comments are going in the same direction, you can do two things; 1. Ban everyone 2. Change your policy.
If you want nazi customers, go walk in their parade.
But after that, dont be expect any other clientele.

Some newspapers shut down the comment sections on specific articles where things have gotten out of hand.

Yes, let's all laugh at the dead homo. Tolerant up until your own doorstep. Sad idiots.

Dickdogfood (#650)

A newspaper that willingly prints things by Andrea Peyser and Ashley Dupre and Sean Delonas is not swayed by your appeals to "decorum" or "empathy," since morality has nothing to do with either.

Also: $38,000 could instead be used to bring Hilton Kramer back into the fold. THINK ABOUT IT.

Maybe it was due to the vulgarity before it, but I found the lighting comment (last one) amusing.

Louis Fyne (#2,066)

Agreed. Must get lonely being the clever NYP commenter.

K Welch (#4,413)

Agree with Chazerim. With a headline like "Dead on Arousal", you have to think they WANT this kind of comment action.

Crantastical (#4,127)

Someone has posted since implying that their comment was deleted. I don't think anything short of personal data would get a comment cut however.

What happens if you click the "Report Abuse" button?

SWAT team arrives at your door in about 15 minutes.

You could say the same thing about google.

this is a collection of one reviewer's comments – I caught his racist rant about Brooklyn Bowl and wanted to see what else he had to say. It's a cesspool of ignorance and prejudice (or brilliant satire, I can't tell for sure!)
