McCain And Palin, Together Again

So many precious memories"John McCain is leading the party of ideas."
-Sarah Palin, campaigning for John McCain today in Arizona, offered the most hilarious trifecta of subject, premise, and speaker that I can remember in some time. She also did that cutesy thing where she read her hand.

I already have tickets for the night when they go on for Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna!

What is she wearing? Is that a mad-max jacket with a flag pin?

lempha (#581)

The jacket makes me feel like we could have a fun afternoon together at a rec league baseball game, just shootin' the shit in some fold-up campout chairs, keeping the meatballs for the meatball subs warm in the crockpot over in the tent that the Booster club bought last year and occasionally making some hungry boys 'a plate' and/or giving children band-aids. Oh, Sarah.

Here's some video from today's rally. Palin thinks McCain's "gonna win this one":

The way she is just TOTALLY condescending to him with that line comes close to ALMOST making me feel sorry for him.

them again? this is like going back to my hometown after my first year ~at college~

"Ideas?" There are good ideas and bad ideas. For example, choosing to wear that jacket was an idea.

She knew what she was doing.

HiredGoons (#603)

NO TIE!?!?

HiredGoons (#603)

Where's kneetoe and his deep mistrust of people who button the top button?

That was me. *cries*

Understand Reginal, I can barely tie my own shoes.

I don't think it's buttoned. It's just so starched that it can't spread apart.

That's what she said.

It's ok, HG.

And to respond, along with the many reasons not to trust McCain, I like to cite that he NEVER STOPS BLINKING!

HiredGoons (#603)

As it was said of Dick Nixon: his smile and his face are never in the same place.

Abe Sauer (#148)

Can we be done with Palin PLEASE. I am on my knees here. You know (oe reason) the right is so efective and the left is not? We focus on hating Beck and Palin and Limbaugh, fucking entertainers. Clowns. They focus on haranguing Pelosi and Reid and B-Frank, actual legislators who can do things (and be voted out). Does the right get upset about Alec Baldwin's political views? Yes. But do they spend much energy turning their supporters against him? No; because, why bother, he is a man WHO WEARS MAKE-UP FOR A LIVING. FUCK. CHRIST. DAMNITALL.

You have a point.
On the other hand,
1.the Republicans have a tendency to elect actors to the White House.
2. Democrats don't care about Alec Baldwin either.

HiredGoons (#603)

Abe, you're on your knees?

*call me

KarenUhOh (#19)

I don't hate them. I just want them to attempt to mate, and see their faces when they find out none of them have private parts.

i have had this thought myself. then i realized that, once, when i was 6, in the sandbox, i took a little girl's marble, shoved it up my nose and shot it out. she was horribly traumatized, and i, not thinking that she would be so, felt sad and awkward and embarrassed and never apologized.

so now, all my nightmares, hatreds, petty bigotries and arabesques have coalesced into this harpie…this winking shit-monster…this walking can of tab that is the future of the american right wing. so, it's all my fault. sorry.

What Abe said. What he said. WHAT HE SAID.

MaryHaines (#3,666)

You have to love that, at this stage of his humiliation, after all the lying and the abject party-line-toeing, and even as he is forced to ask his former subordinate Sarah Palin to come to his rescue and call off her crazy dogs, he's still claiming to be a "maverick." Nobody owns John McCain!
