Although it is apparently quite popular, I just now discovered this "remix" of Pixar's Up. The Wall Street Journal calls it a "pick-me-up,", and that is exactly right: It is extremely joy-inducing. And who doesn't want a little joy? Have some joy, goddamnit, life is short.

FUCK it is riDICulous that I haven't seen this movie yet.

It didn't make me cry even though Balk said I was supposed to.

Natan (#1,967)

I also haven't seen it yet.

The Boy Scout looks like he has Downs syndrome.

Maevemealone (#968)

He's just asian!

In my defense, I was diagnosing based on necklessness, not facial features.

I will now have to buy that DVD.

The blu-ray is spectacular.

Money well spent.

The visual's fine, but this sort of take on dance music makes me a little depressed.

"I was hiding underneath the porch because I love you."

Great flick.

From the same artist, fodder for the 4:20 post: http://is.gd/5RQDC

Pogo is awesome! This could also get you through the munchies:

I want to get a bird and name it Kevin.

This movie traumatized my 9 year old. Not too far in, she turned to me and said "What kind of movie did you take me to? Why are they making a little kid cry? This is just WRONG!"
She was seriously pissed off, never having experienced a movie before that did anything except make her laugh, smile or get bored.
She still will not speak of it.
I am slightly afraid for her ability to operate in the real world if an animated tale sends her over the edge.

Rw (#1,458)

Watch her closely for the next 21 years.

She also had a fit when I opened a bank account for her last week. She started ranting about how "they just want to steal my money" and she was going to "hide it in her bedroom to keep it safe."
She remained unconvinced when the bank officer explained that if she put her money in the bank it would earn interest. She said that was "crazy and a trick" and what kind of place would pay for her money. (all 50 dollars of it)

I believe I am raising a teabagger.

that's funny.

my mom took me to see Tommy when i was 9. we drove to the theater in our old truck with my brother and i in the bed bouncing around all untethered. i still think about tina turner as the acid queen.

it's even more funny when i consider how i won't let my 8 year old watch coraline because the buttons-for-eyes thing looked too freaky and we take her to the theater in a car seat that could probably survive a fighter jet ejection.

is it the times that have changed, or did i help change them?

My son was also similarly upset that the movie begins with a main character dying. Spoiler alert. Haha…ha.

Her name wouldn't happen to be Travina Bickle, would it?

hockeymom (#143)

She does spend a lot of time looking at herself in a mirror.
