The squab thing does seem like a good suggestion.
A girl I met at summer camp was very afraid of pigeons, and we responded to this by forming a gang called "Ghetto Pigeons." She was a member of the gang. I think it helped her.
He might benefit from the one joy I get out of friends' cats: the Cat Toy/Ceiling Fan Game.
My favorite is the little catbro with his pastel hat!
