We had to ask, back in September: where the heck are you, Rene Russo? Great news! Or at least: news! "Rene Russo joins cast of 'Thor': Actress set to play Frigga, mother of Norse hero." Yes. Opposite Anthony Hopkins. Directed by Kenneth Branagh. I don't know either! But we'll take it.

You My Frigga obvs
Frigga please.
Russo? Frigga.
Also, this is shaping up to be a really good movie so far. Great casting decisions all around.
Oh well YOU KNOW that you and I will be there with bells on. Bells on every appendage.
ME TOO. And coins on my eyes to pay Kharon! Valhalla if ya hear me!
Mixing Mythological Metaphors, eh?
I've long felt Thor and his mighty hammer have been neglected by Hollywood. Probably racism.
Dolph Lundgren bears the weight of Hollywood's neglect 24/7.
Valhalla! Holy cow with the cast!
Friggin' in the Riggin.
"the actioner that starts lensing in January"
Good grief, is that English?
English-ese?
Of course I speak that way, but I wouldn't write it.
Do not ever read Variety. Your head will explode.
Is 'lensing' anything like 'glassing'?
It is when Kenneth Branagh is directing.
'Hamlet' = win.
'Frankenstein' = fail.
They lense when they are finished summering.
I hope the message of the film is that just because you put on a Minnesota Vikings hat and walk around in a flowing red cape wielding a gigantic stone hammer, that doesn't necessarily make you a god. I want other people to learn from my mistakes.

She's my frigga. No homo.
You gotta be Frigga kidding me.
Love me some Russo and Hopkins, but isn't he old enough to be her dad? Or is she just incredibly well preserved?
Yes, and yes.
I think, if I saw Rene Russo in a nightmare, we would be, like, at the post office, and I would glance over at her, and then glance again, and each time something would be a little off, increasingly so, and then I would notice that with each glance her eyes were getting wider and wider apart, until they were eventually on the sides of her head, like a scary fish lady, and I would be shaking and weeping, terrified, but frozen in place, unable to scream.

I really, really, really hope they made the cast eat an entire feast of rotten food - because THAT I would watch.
Bear meat, perhaps?
This means I can still play Frigo in Who Moved My Cheese?
