Why Can’t Every Single Person Just Admit That ‘Hamilton’ Is The Culmination Of All Human Achievement?
The right kind of “Hamilton” contrarianism: Spend $2–5k for tix and you’re left no choice but to adore it. Otherwise you’re a fool.

On any of those rare occasions when you get a glimpse of someone wondering whether Hamilton might not be the greatest thing that ever happened in 50,000 years of culture do you find yourself stunned, surprised or fearful for the heretic’s safety? I mean, remember the last guy who dared to doubt? Of course you don’t, no one’s heard of him since. I only mention the tweet above to note just how unusual it is, not because I in any way endorse it or any other negative or merely neutral commentary concerning Hamilton. In fact, I’m full of self-criticism for even bringing it up.
