On Last Call For The Miami Heat

So are we just gonna drive past the fact about how badly you called the NBA playoffs?

On A Chronological History Of Cigarette Smoking, By Brand

Ever since I started, Marb Red 100's. It's what my friend smoked in high school, and it'll be what I smoke until I quit. When I found out my sister started smoking I was so fucking pissed, but kinda proud that she went w/ red 100's. Then she got into Newport 100's and shit went to hell. But yeah, I will never stray from my brand (as long as I have them on me and arn't trying to bum a bogey)

On The NFL Negotiates The Apocalypse

Isn't the comparison backwards? Politics have gotten the idea of good vs evil, never say die, doomsday scenarios from sports. How often do the talking heads reference David and Goliath, or praise a team for "playing the right way"? And they actually believe it! I think the fact that these arguments have come back into the realm of sports is either a bit meta, or completely fucking pathetic.

On Scattered Trees, "Love and Leave"

Wow. This was exactly what I needed right now. Might be one of my new favorite songs. I will have to listen to it 2,552 times to find out.

On Television Commercial Plays Havoc With Meaning Of Common Expression

How can you not enjoy those commercials? They are brilliant. No, it's not literal. They obviously know what the damn phrase mean. But it's random and weird and just slightly off enough to get your attention. You are always gonna remember those commercials, and that they are for Gieco. Besides, they are having some fun with it. Better then the same crappy beer/car/ED treatment adverts we constantly get.

On Eminem, "Difficult" And (With Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Cashis And Stat Quo), "Syllables"

There's no way that Difficult was released recently. He sounds as if he just recorded "When I'm Gone". He voice has changed so much over the years that he never sounds the same. They both were probably supposed to be on Re-Up and just got pushed back.
And why does everyone attack Recovery? Yeah it's no where close to Marshall Mathers LP or Eminem Show, but it really isn't far off from Slim Shady LP, and it is sure as hell better than Encore. Untitled was amazing, Session one rocked. Not his best, no. But definitely his best album in awhile.
