On 'Lulu' at The Met: A Young Woman's First Opera

YES. For the longest time the only two operas I had seen at the Met were Lulu and Wozzeck, which made me feel kinda self-satisfied, but last year I dragged my ass to Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio (basically as a result of it's title being deliciously translated by Icelandic friends as Eviction from the Ladies' Cages) and Mozart is SO BALLING. It's all that Turkish-ass triangle! Opera!
