Your recipe for Piragi is close to my mother's. Especially the addition of ham in the recipe. All of the other recipes I have looked at only have bacon and onions in the pirgagi. They only thing we didn't put into the piragi was caraway seeds.
Since my mother passed away many years ago, I have not had or even tried to make piragi. I missed them this time of year.
I am going to Sacramento to be with my daughter for Christmas, and she and I are going to try making some.
