On My Summer on the Content Farm

You think editing it is hard, try writing it! We \"writers\" got two editorial guidelines docs, and a constant stream of \"helpful\" updates. I thought, $15 a piece? if I could only do *three an hour*… Pfft. I never got more than one done in an hour. AT BEST. Because I would do actual research and write well thought-out articles–never a rejection and only got one sent back once because I had inadvertently asked a hypothetical question within my answer. The guidelines state that the articles should ANSWER questions, not ask them. Ugh.
Now when I log in, I see available topics like \"How to pick a guy up in a bar\" and \"How to make your TV a computer\" and I, too, find something else to do. Like take cans back to the store.
