On Seattle Meteorologists Cope With Bizarre "Heat" Phenomenon

I'm with belltolls, which means I am in Seattle and I am agreeing that it is very hot. My girlfriend and I just moved here a few weeks ago and the other night we had a nice snotty chuckle over a public-radio show that relied for the entirety of its content on people calling in to talk about how they were managing the heat. That was back in the eighties, though, and after today we are ready to start our own radio show. It will let people talk about how they are not managing the heat, because my informal bus survey suggests that they very much are not.

On Why Does Our Socialist President Hate The Constitution?

I doubt that anyone at Media Matters actually expects people to read and keep up with all of their (yes, nitpicky and tiresome) corrections. I think, as you sort of suggest, that the point is to try to choke off all those little white lies before they blow up into something like conventional wisdom. It's harder for a reporter to pretend like there was no one challenging the veracity of that mendacious bullshit when MM is hovering just a Google search away.
