On Why Is American Selfishness So Widespread Now?
@Niko Bellic Ugh...you're an idiot. When you get a coherent thought together, give me a call.

@ep My side is against economic stagnation, and for the empowerment of the working class. We don't need your stinking luck!

Awwww…so cute. And they have a lot in common with their unwashed masters: Softness, pack mentality, lack of interest in employment, fleas, shameless engagement in bodily functions and fornication in public, subhuman cognitive abilities, and the complete and utter need for someone other than themselves to provide food and shelter. 99 paw-centers unite!

On Against Our War in Libya
Bush's Iraq 2003 Iraq: Coalition of 49 countries, full support of Congress, US troops commanded by American leaders. Outrage!
Obama's Libya, 2011: Coalition of 5 countries, no congressional approval (unconstitutional), US troops under command of foreign entity (UN, also unconstitutional): "I don't really know enough about Libya to pass judgment..."/"What oil?"/Code Pink gets lost on way to White House protest.
Discuss.

On Why Is American Selfishness So Widespread Now?
What you're despairing over seems to be the fact that Americans like those commenting on this story are free to speak their minds even though you don't agree with them.
America has always been among the most generous nations on Earth, and currently leads the way in charitable giving as a percent of GDP:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_charitable_countries
http://www.nowpublic.com/world/americans-are-most-generous-people-planet
Whether through voluntary donations to aid organizations and churches, or by proxy via aid given abroad secured by tax contributions, we are in fact the most generous country that civilization has ever produced.
The situation of the couple in the Las Vegas story is lamentable, but the real question your article raises is why you would come to the conclusion that Americans, as a whole, are uniquely and excessively selfish when this is demonstrably not the case.

Isn't Obama also an advocate for torture, wiretapping, arresting and indefinitely detaining U.S. citizens without their consent?
