On Does Steve Jobs Hate Jonathan Franzen Too?

I loved it too. I just thought I needed to stick Emily a bit for her quick dissolution of what is a VERY EPICALLY MAJOR CONTROVERSY. We can't all have had a personal interviews with the man. *wink*

On Does Steve Jobs Hate Jonathan Franzen Too?

It's hard to say that Katz is the book's "most gloriously dickheaded character." So he has an intolerance of boring women. Don't you? It's tough to quantify which of the characters I feel most (morally, intellectually etc) superior to, but I will say that Katz isn't one of them. He at least seems to have a fundamental understanding of right and wrong, and where most of the other characters stumble towards redemption, he seems to have it all along if he'd just stop and open his eyes. And as far as Jobs being personally involved in his company's ad campaigns, I'll remind you that he routinely answers emails from a wide selection of crazies who exist anonymously on "The Internet." It's nice to think that the head of a major corporation wouldn't be so petty, but we all like a cheap shot now and then, don't we?
