This is a very interesting and well thought out article with a lot of valid points about the movie. Although I liked the film, it was especially heart breaking to see Kim Pine get changed into a character who's main motivation seems to be that she is still heartbroken about Scott.

It is kind of weird to hear it referred to as a new art form, especially when you look at the astonishing early work of someone like Winsor McCay. Bryan Lee O'Malley made some astonishing breakthroughs in layout and format in his comics, which is maybe one of the reasons the books felt so fresh and new. He switched things up on an art form that is so locked into place with rules.
