On ‘Scream 4’: The First Mainstream Feminist Horror Film
Just had this conversation the other day. I was pushing forward "Alien," but I guess that movie sorta elided the gender confrontation thing (beyond the cyborg with the creamy center) in favor of psychological issues (fear of childbirth, etc) that could still come from a male perspective (like a sci-fi version of Sin in Paradise Lost)?

On Danzig Danzig Danzig
By reflex, I replace "dancing" with "Danzig" in song titles/lyrics. At one point it was amusing, now it's a brain virus. Favorites include: Danzig in the Moonlight, The Sun Goes Down and the World Goes Danzig
...this is probably my only opportunity to share it with anybody.

On Dear Vancouver, Please Don't Boo Our National Anthem
It's been mentioned, but Vancouver is not Montreal by any means. I was downtown and bespangled for the first USA-Canada game, and the worst trash talk I got was, "Miller is an excellent goalie." You're right though, the tribalism of the various fanbases may be my least favorite part of modern hockey. The antidote for me this season was 24/7. As a Flyer fan, it was almost dangerously humanizing (Matt Cooke's a good father! Maybe that will change when his kids reach elbow height).
