On The Coming Real Estate Disaster for White-People Brooklyn

Nice premise. Too bad it's founded on a lousy assumption. Reports in the last few years show that New York City—and Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island—have particularly low rates of divorce compared with the national average. Somewhere south of 8.4 percent, if we can believe this story .

That "half of all marriages end in divorce" stat that we all heard growing up in the 80s and 90s? Not true anymore, particularly for young people today who lived through their parents' horrible split-ups and, it seems, have made wiser choices.

On 'Clan Of The Cave Bear': Neanderthal Fan Fic

I don't recall that much pornography in the first book, but in one of the later ones Ayla INVENTS THE BLOWJOB. Because apparently it needed to be invented.

On Baby, Now 10, Still Big In Japan

Whoah, now, Choire! That's a bit drastic. Maybe you could ease into it instead, assign an intern to scan the RSS, ask friends if they've looked at it recently-you know, something not too taxing.

On Baby, Now 10, Still Big In Japan

So happy to see this story continuing to get play, although frankly I liked my version better before WeirdAsiaNews ripped it off: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/16/fashion/16meme.html

And, you know, there's also this if you're still interested: http://www.dadwagon.com/2010/08/02/qa-stephen-rout-japanese-meme-boy-and-his-father-allen-s-rout/

Okay, self-promotion mode off now.
