On Enthusiasms: 'The Singles Club'
Very poetic.
Reading Singles club, I could see all the hooks there that would make a person say things like that about it, but... well, they never hooked into me. I could see the emotion there, but weirdly, I just didn't feel any emotion. Maybe it's because I've never been to a club. Maybe it's because I'm not really that into comics. Maybe it's because I just borrowed it from a friend and read it casually while talking to him, instead of giving it the attention it deserved.
Either way, I know it's a great comic. It's a gigantic shame that gillen and co. never got to make the amount of Phonogram comics they planned to. Curse the superhero buying public. Curse their hides.
