On With the Ladies in the Back at an Odd Future Show
Awl: Best, realest, least pretentious Odd Future coverage.
Emma: Best Odd Future piece and best Nicki Minaj piece.
Good work, both. Really really enjoyable.

HA. After a couple days of seeing this story, this headline wins, hands-down. But you guys have a copyright on that type of victory, yeah?

On Seven Years as a Freelance Writer, or, How To Make Vitamin Soup
As for who thinks New York mag is one of the best magazines of our times (and I think Richard was maybe being a bit hyperbolic, but yes, it's extremely respected) -- um, just about everyone involved in media thinks that.

On The Way We Quit Internships Now: With a Bang
Hopefully. Even though I think the quitter misses the point, I can't disagree with you here. Hope the balls to quit translates to some drive for (s)he to become a better writer on his or her own time. It just sucks they burned that bridge to connections and editors and jobs that all could've lead to the real shots at writing. That's what the internship was for, not first and foremost to be made into a better writer. Internships like that, as far as I know, don't exist. You may get access to one or two killer editors who have time to spend on you, but that's about it, and even then, only if you're lucky.
