@Kris Codemode@facebook - Flawed logic. The recent numbers show that annual smoking-attributable economic costs in the US are estimated to be between $289 to 332.5 billion. This total includes: $132.5 to 175.9 billion for direct medical care of adults; $151 billion for lost productivity due to premature deaths; $5.6 billion for lost productivity due to exposure to secondhand smoke.
Do your homework if you want to participate in an adult conversation (even if it ended a year ago.)
I bought a one-bedroom in Queens 25 years ago and love living here. Some people do not belong and eventually leave. Only idiots would rent one of these spaces in Williamsburg- there's little reason to live there unless you want to be part of some trendy scene. I can get there on my bike in 15 minutes, if I want to be there. There are still plenty of affordable places to live, but W'burg is not one of them.
I use the machines regularly to add value to my card and have NEVER had a problem. I understand that these machines have eliminated jobs, just like ATMs but I have little need for bank tellers or token booth clerks and prefer the convenience and efficiency of the technology.
Does the title allude to the Bible verse, the one that people always mis-quote? It's the love of money that is evil, not money itself. See 1 Tim 6:10.
Personally, I prefer the men in porn to remain anonymous and keep their personalities (or at least their faces) off-camera. And they're all actors and actresses, only a few of them are stars. (PS I've never seen either of these two perform - they're a novelty act, not real porn.)
If they are riding for free, they should be sitting on someone's knee.
@ejcsanfran What train do you ride? I use the 7 a lot, and use the subway in Manhattan weekly. I rarely have body fluids to deal with like you're implying. I'm betting you live in some backwater suburb and riding the subway is a rare but occasional thrill for you.
@scrooge Because the smoke smells bad? Smokers, addicts that they are, are pitiful, and the smell of the smoke reminds us that we're surrounded by weaklings
Can't imagine why anyone would drink diet coke. From what I understand, it's mostly chemicals, with very little in it that's natural or healthy. I grew up thinking that soda was for kids.
Now installing a beer tap? That sounds like a worthwhile endeavor for a handyman to undertake. Natural, refreshing, and no huge corporation or laboratory involved.
@mayberrymachiavelli New tax in NYS as of July 1- try finding a pack in NYC for less than $12.
