On America’s Korean Adoptees, Part 4: Return To The Motherland
Great series (not just because we recently adopted a little girl from China.) One thing that's a little different about kids from Korea (as opposed to kids from China): Koreans, especially older ones, are very serious about the value of their culture. My wife, who is from Shanghai, likes to eat Korean food with me, but I often have to order for her as Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap is hard to remember, and sometimes the waitresses are quite offended that she isn't speaking "her" language, and in their eyes is "putting on airs." We have to explain she's Chinese so nobody spits in her food.
/Other Chinese who visit Korean enclaves in the DC Area--Annandale or Ellicott City--report similar experiences. Probably happens in Flushing too.

On Inside the Post-It Note Anti-Obama Revolution
I don't mean to be the stupid Tea Party defender, because I sell porn, so I'm next after Planned Parenthood. But the difference, this time, is that, err, oil/gas demand was already off 12.5% (2 million BPD) from '08... alongside electricity demand (down maybe 33%) and so forth. 'Cuz like, the recession ain't ended. Also, freight rail. That's huge.
So, err, the Gas Is Too Damned High. Maybe we should have a real currency or something.
/Not allowing drilling in offshore Arctic was stupid. Seriously, that was stupid.

On "Straight Men are Doing Stranger Workouts"
Ehh, Ray Lewis was doing yoga + such a couple years ago. He's pretty manly, I think, as the Old Spice wings were countered by the double-homicide thing.

On The Mysterious Case Of The Craigslist Writing Gig Scam
I've had issues over the years with paypal on my erotic lit site, but in "Aaron's" defense, I've also had a few problems paying writers/others from my non-smut paypal account. Does happen (mostly when you're sending stuff "payment owed.")
