On "Let's Go Get Drunk At The Lab!"
I did something similar! To teach cadets how to do DUI stops and tests, they recruited people and a bunch of us law students volunteered. They provided the liquor, and we drank, smoked, played cards, had super fun, and all we had to do was get legally drunk (as verified by a breathalyzer). Then when we were hammed, they turned us loose on the cadets to test. They also drove us to the bar when we were done, for extra win.

On In Defense of the Season Finale of "Mad Men"
The bitching about this season of Mad Men completely confounds me. For the last 6 weeks (not so much last night), I've been riveted watching the episodes. Maybe there wasn't much happening action-wise, but there sure was a whole hell of a lot going on emotionally, and it was almost anxiety-inducing it was so powerful (at least in my opinion, but how can I challenge the conventional wisdom of the internets?).
