On Magical Recording of Beyoncé Doing Prince

Also relevant, The Dream's original demo of "Nothing But Love", which Beyonce recorded as "1+1", but which is the most explicit manifestation of Dream's Prince envy that's ever been committed to ProTools. Well worth savoring alongside of this performance.

On Hurley Killed Rosie Larsen

I must be the only person in the world untroubled by this. I watch the show sometimes; It's fine. None of the other episodes told me who the killer was either. You guys are all OMFG NO CULPRITGASM but I think you should just chill out.

On New York's Most Photographed Attraction

No no no no! This methodology is so broken. A few points:
* This is only pictures on Flickr, not pictures *taken*.
* This is only for pictures that are publicly shared, not kept private like a lot of normal, non-exhibitionistic less technical users do.
* This is only pictures that are *geocoded*, skewing very heavily towards images that are taken on smartphones, not single-function cameras. And guess what device is the most popular geocoding smartphone? Apple's.

In short, you have a measure of what landmark Apple users are most likely to take photos of and then share in a completely public, discoverable way. Given that a not inconsiderable percentage of every single iPhone sold in NYC is sold in this venue itself, of course it skews this way.

NON SCIENCE.
