Much as I'd love to sit here all night listening to the hoopleheads debate the fucking coming and going of the moon, that cocksucking preacher is playing a Spanish dance on that goddamn piano and I happen to be one of them type motherfuck who can. Not. Resist. A samba.
@laurel Ha! I did the same thing! Someone told me to watch "In the Loop" once when we were both drunk, and then a month later I added "State of Play" to my Netflix, and then four months after that it arrived and I was like, "Oh, that British political comedy about the war!" It took me just one disc to figure out my error.
But yeah, this was a good watch.
Hope this doesn't put a crimp in my children's-literature-as-PR series, the illustrated "Puddingford Bear" books.

What was the net change in the quality of this discussion following the release of "Waiting for Superman"? I feel like there was just as much intelligent criticism of that movie, but the overarching narrative (Unions Breed Lazy Teachers) still sticks in the mainstream press. How many times do we need to go through this?
@fashion socks Snap.
Fuck yes! "Dress Sexy at My Funeral" is so great and I've always felt like a dick for liking that song so much. No idea why.
I think the absence of "Too Many Birds" is a serious omission. That should be in the top 3.
