On Ian McShane Made An Album In 1992: Would You Want To Listen To It?

Much as I'd love to sit here all night listening to the hoopleheads debate the fucking coming and going of the moon, that cocksucking preacher is playing a Spanish dance on that goddamn piano and I happen to be one of them type motherfuck who can. Not. Resist. A samba.

On "State of Play" Returns to TV Tonight

@laurel Ha! I did the same thing! Someone told me to watch "In the Loop" once when we were both drunk, and then a month later I added "State of Play" to my Netflix, and then four months after that it arrived and I was like, "Oh, that British political comedy about the war!" It took me just one disc to figure out my error.

But yeah, this was a good watch.

Hope this doesn't put a crimp in my children's-literature-as-PR series, the illustrated "Puddingford Bear" books.

On Maybe Teachers Aren't To Blame For Every Terrible Thing

What was the net change in the quality of this discussion following the release of "Waiting for Superman"? How many times do we need to go through this?

On Dick Cheney's Dream Of Italy

"A vision clear as a mountain stream, the mind revealing itself to itself. In my vision, I was on the veranda of vast estate, a palazzo of some fantastic proportion."

On 50 Bill Callahan Songs, In Order

Fuck yes! "Dress Sexy at My Funeral" is so great and I've always felt like a dick for liking that song so much. No idea why.

I think the absence of "Too Many Birds" is a serious omission. That should be in the top 3.
