On Why Harry Reid's Nevada Field Operation Is Losing
Great reporting Natasha.
And I am now wondering if the Dems sort of want Reid to go. I know losing numbers is never good, but a change of guard right now could do wonders. Sometimes the biggest tell on what a group thinks about a candidate is the true lack of support. Sure the Dems are sending boatloads of $$$ to Reid, but real support doesn't come with $$$.

On You've Learned Helplessness
I try, as Im sure much of you do, to make even the slightest effort. Im a vegetarian, support non-profit causes, etc. -- but Cord's article resonates. Its hard not to feel helpless, when you know that there is just another catastrophe, war, economic collapse and no amount of green avatars and online petitions will help. Most of us are children from the generation of radicals, who protested and got "things done" - albeit too late in some cases. Its hard not to feel like failures and helpless when we are all more aware of the facts nowadays as opposed to generations before us. Is it better to be naive and bash your head against a wall or do small things and contribute?

On Old Christian Videos: Amy Grant's "Lead Me On"
I loved Amy Grant so much when I was kid. Would choreograph dances to her songs and hope to one day be her and it wasn't until I was like 22 I realized she was super Christian. I went to a Lutheran school and was pretty involved in Church (until I "met" Trent Reznor), so I guess at some point Jars of Caly, Michael W Smith and Amy were common denominators when it came to music, but its always so weird to me now how much I loved the uber Christian culture back then.

On Generation 'FNL'
This made me tear up. I have become addicted to this show, in the best way possible, and I think it is become I am looking at it with more mature eyes. Caught the series finale a few months back on DirecTV, since I just couldn't avoid spoilers, and I think it was a perfect send off to a simply perfect series. No big show, no big twist, but just like in real life, a bit of change.
Its incredible to see the response to this show now as opposed to just two years ago, and I think when we look back in 20 years it will be a time capsule for many of us.
TEXAS FOREVER!
Also, Tim Riggins is just as beautfil, if not more, in real life.
