On Prison Island Celebrates Groundbreaking Of First Prison
I love the name Knifecrime Island - it is just so unutterably apt in the way that it mocks the British media's coverage of its home country and plays on the UK's fears about itself. Brava! Prison Island is OK but it's not on the level. Plus, it's funny, but some Australians will get terribly irritated if you refer to their convict history. If I were Australian, I'd personally find the attempted genocide and very much realised subjugation of an entire people just a tad more irritating. But to each their own.

It seems a lot of people have taken Cord's generosity toward his friend as condescension. You know, POC do not have a responsibility to be nice and understanding toward bigoted white people, they do not have to go out of their way to educate racists about the simple truth that not all black people are 'cheap and lazy'. Cord, you have a big heart as well as a great writing talent.
