On The Job Board: Need an Employee? Need a Job? Inquire Within

So here's hoping that this servicey post will help me out.

NYC based writer and marketer - looking for freelance opportunities - can be longterm. Have experience with various types of marketing, such as online, direct, promotional, affiliate and event. Have set up multi-channel platforms and social media accounts for clients to increase their reach in the digital world, but am also experienced with POS marketing.

Contributor to a few pop culture/entertainment sites, but am looking for a part-time writing gig. Love interviewing folks, and have been told that Im insightful, well-spoken and personable. Recently, did press day coverage for "An Extra Man," which you can read all at ThePlaylist.blogspot.org.

And I am convinced I was the basis for the jerk character on last night's "Heckler" ep of "Louie" - what do you say folks?

On Some Highlights from Today's Kelly Cutrone Press Call

I adore this woman. I admire a woman who actually works to get what she wants and yet has no issue helping others, as long as they are worth it.

On American Girl is an Argument Against Having Girls

I miss the pre-MATTEL days of American Girls. Back when I got Kirsten because of my Scandinavian heritage and Molly because of my odd obsession with WWII when I was 8(I blame HOMETIME).

I used to go to tea parties and all this other prissy nonsense with these dolls, but the best part was the stories that came along with them. I think it really opened the eyes of a lot of girls to certain historical periods that might not have been accessible. That being said, I can't for the life of me understand whats going on with the brand nowadays and what its real cache is.

On What Is The Deal With: Ke$ha?

She might become a mini-pop star, but Britney was a Disney cash crop - starting them off young and cute gives you way more time to have them fall and build them back up.

The song is catchy but I dont think there is enough here to make her a mega-star, but I dig tweens being into her if only cause shes seems a bit more "interesting".

On Losers Cut Out Early

So they are announcing their "retirements" so that a young group of Dems are given somewhat of a fighting chance for the next election cycle? Are there any hopefuls in these areas?
