On The End of the 00s: The Experience of Dishonorable Debates, by Seth Colter Walls

Seth Colter Walls has bought the Democratic line so thoroughly and uncritically that he counts himself among the voters whom Ralph Nader allegedly "seduced" by pointing out the towering similarities between the Democrats and Republicans. Has he forgotten that Gore chose Lieberman as his running mate? Now look at Obama - on Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo and virtually any other foreign policy issue, he is no different in substance (as opposed to rhetoric) from his predecessor. As for domestic policy, his tepid efforts on healthcare reform are disappointing at best. So give yourself credit, Mr. Walls - you weren't seduced, and neither was anyone else. You voted rationally, based upon the appalling lack of choice presented to you by the Republican and Democratic Party juggernaut.
