On The Story Of The Singing Donkey

I didn't think Balk covered the Julia Allison beat any longer?

On Can You Hallucinate Colors?

But what if what I consider red is actually what you consider blue.

WHAT THEN, SCIENCE? What then?

On Why Can't Dudes Have Sex in the Popular Movies?

I have missed Choire's longer-form rant-y/exploratory/thought-y things so much.

On Teens On Soda-Fueled Murder Rampage

Yes, the soda (or pop) made them do it. Not the poor decision making skills that can lead one to favor junk food and think that carrying weapons and initiating random street violence are good things. Those have nothing at all to do with it.

On Cherry Clafoutis

@Clarence Rosario As I was reading through the comments I became increasingly terrified that I might be the only one who still made that association. I'm very relieved that I am not.

On Parents Give Their Child World-Record-Breaking Wedgie

The contextual ads have recently been terrifyingly absurd and spot-on. Almost as if they're being selected as carefully as the lead image.

Like right now? Men's spanx.

On The Eurovision Finals: Brace Yourself For Feminnem and Hera Björk!

Hera Björk is just a less intense version of Sweden's entry last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKDR8GI4GKk

I am pissed that Sweden didn't make it this year. Anna Bergendahl is so cute!

Azerbaijan's Safura and Germany's Lena Meyer-Landrut are the current favorites. Safura's song was choreographed by Beyonce's former (?) choreographer (which, I guess he isn't the one that choreographed the Single Ladies dance because her choreography isn't very good)! And Lena has some weird Ellen Paige/Kate Nash filtered-through-German thing going on.

The Netherlands' Sieneke had a song composed by the guy who composed the music for the Smurfs. And a human cuckoo clock on stage with them. They fortunately did not make it through to the semifinals. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0s7w52bjCQ)

This is like the Super Bowl! But better.
