Is the risk worth the reward, though? Any good New Yorker knows that a subway car that *appears* to be empty is, likely, not so; to venture into one, especially during the summer time, is Death. (Balk knows what I'm talking about.) I guess what I'm getting at is this: Let's not glorify Solitary Subway Psychosis; it's not something to strive for, for in so striving you will likely fail, and the depths of that failure will far surpass the heights offered by SSP.
